Get Ready to VOTE Livermore
Livermore Indivisible is holding a Get Ready to Vote community tabling event at Livermorium Plaza on Saturday, September 26, 1:00-2:30pm. There will be information about registering to vote, checking registration, state propositions, school board voting areas, and how to vote early. Come, bring a friend, and spread the word around the community. No registration is needed to attend. Help us raise community awareness of the importance of voting early with this event, as well as with our NO KINGS: VOTE EARLY event on October 17.

Ban Child Marriage in CA
In California, the current minimum age for marriage is zero! Most child marriages are girls married to adult men, exposing girls to high risks of physical, sexual, emotional and financial abuse. The CA legislature is trying to address this issue, but needs our help. Both the CA Assembly and Senate passed AB 1267, which would set 18 as the minimum legal marriage age, no exceptions. This bill now awaits Gavin Newsom's signature.
Please sign the letter below or leave a comment on his websit, urging Governor Newsom to sign AB 1267 and end child marriage in CA. Let’s become the 18th state in the country to ban child marriage!
Money Out of Politics
CA AB 1984, a bill co-authored by our State Senator Jerry McNerney, would have stopped corporate spending on elections. Although AB 1984 failed to pass the Assembly earlier this year, a new billwith the same aim is about to be introduced, this time with stronger backing. SJR-18, a joint legislative resolution that condemns the Citizens United SCOTUS decision, just passed the legislature - this sets the stage for the new bill. When passed, the bill will have the force of law.

Stop Funding Iran War
Trump's unauthorized, unprovoked war in Iran has cost the lives of U. S. service members and thousands of civilians across the Middle East. Both the House and Senate have passed War Powers Resolutions challenging Trump's unauthorized military actions against Iran and reasserting Congress's constitutional authority over matters of war. But these votes are not enough.
Demand that Members of Congress hold the line for not another dime to stop the war machine.
Stop Collusion w/ Netanyahu
Trump and Netanyahu have partnered to commit devastating war crimes across the Middle East. Now, Congress is being asked to cement even deeper military coordination with the Israeli government into U.S. law, through joint weapons development, intelligence sharing, defense technology partnerships, all while reducing transparency and public oversight.
Urge your Members of Congress to vote against provisions that would further integrate the U.S. and Israeli militaries and help stop the perpetration of war crimes.
